Jimmy Joe’s Creek Water Gin Recipe

Back in the day when we liked to party out in the woods, or build a bon fire way out in my Uncle Leroy’s cow pasture, we created this tastefully dangerous alcoholic concoction – Creek Water Gin. This quenching beverage is perfect fer any party on a hot summer day, yer NASCAR tailgate, or one of yer crazy family get-togethers.

It’s quite easy to make, too!

THE FIXIN’s:

  • 1 handle of yer favorite Gin One of them big 1.75 Liter bottles)
  • 2 2-liter bottles of Sprite, 7up, or Sierra Mist…
  • 5 or 6 big lemons or limes, or both
  • Bags of Ice
  • Red Solo Cups
  • A  Big Cooler… that’s right, like a big ol’ Coleman

WHAT YA DO:

Alright, clean yer cooler out good and dump in bags of ice to about 2/3 full. Dump in yer big ol’ bottle of gin. Slice up yer lemons or limes or both and toss them in too. Pour in a two liter bottle of yer Sprite and taste. If it’s too strong, use the second bottle to cut it.  And if need be, top it off with more ice.

Okay, yer done! Now carry it out to the woods and let people start dippin’ in their red solo cups! Sounds crazy but it sure is good!

Oh, so why’s it called Creek Water Gin? ‘Cuz after awhile, being outside and all, little pieces of leafs and such got mixed in as people dipped their cups. I thought it looked like…. Creek Water. But who cared?? We was all a-buzzin’
