Released on 7” vinyl in 2016 on Velvet Elk/One Little Indian records, the bluesy, R & B soul-rocker “Run Right to You” smacks you in the head with a raucous 70s vibe that’s raw and contagious. The American rock band Hollis Brown (coined after Dylan’s haunting “Ballad of Hollis Brown”) hail from Queens, New York and have been together since around 2009.
Their sound is sort of like a classic rock band that time-warped into the future and then somehow landed back here today. They’re authentic and pure. Righteous and intoxicating. And they’re building quite a strong following in their homeland and Europe alike.
Put on your headphones now and turn it up!

And on a last pleasant note, Mascot Label Group has announced they’ve signed of Hollis Brown to a global recording agreement with Cool Green Records. Their next album will be released in spring 2019.
